If you ask Lexi Lang to sum up her philosophy on life and ministry, she will likely quote Micah 6:8: “Do justice, love mercy, walk humbly before God.”  … Or you might get her favorite CliffsNotes version: Love God, Love People, Do Stuff. Either way, Lexi’s passion for God and love for the Church has taken her on many adventures – from global missions to church planting in urban, suburban and small town contexts and serving with justice and arts-focused non-profits in her hometown of Kansas City. She did her undergrad work at the University of Missouri - Kansas City and her graduate degrees come from Chicago Theological Seminary and Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena.

Lexi and her husband Nathan have three teens – Aiden, Felicity and Nora – and an energetic Yorkie-poo, Brownie. They live – and create – in urban KC. Lexi also serves as the Midwest Conference Missiologist for the ECC, our denomination. Nathan is a web developer, a Grammy Award-winning musician, videographer and photographer. Aiden commits his spare time to chess, video games and violin. Felicity plays for the Kansas City Royals sponsored softball teams, Team KC and Lady Royals. Nora excels in ballet (finishing top in her company last school year) and would spend every free moment riding horses if she could.

Jason is humbled and honored to help people discover the love of Jesus through the beauty and mystery of music and other art forms. Jason loves storytelling and writing children’s books. He’s also a lover of sports. But there are few things Jason loves more than hanging out with his beautiful wife Jillian and their sweet boys, Isaiah and Shepherd.

Rachel is about all things hospitality and operations. One of her favorite quotes is “There are no strangers here, only friends you haven’t met yet.” She studied Hospitality & Tourism Management and received a minor in Entrepreneurship. She has eight years under her belt as a manager in the hospitality industry, which has been one of her biggest ministry fields. She recently launched a mobile coffee cart called Fika Coffee KC and is excited to see what Jesus has up his sleeve.

Rachel is excited use her gifts of administration and leadership to serve her community.

Stephen Buller has been in Family Ministry since he began volunteering in college at his first church away from home while getting his youth ministry degree. Working in a wide variety of churches, he is excited to help families, teens and children SEE how amazing Jesus is and SHOW how amazing Jesus is. He has a 5-year-old daughter, Lina, and is a teacher at Providence School of Arts.

Glicia co-leads Engage OP and Engage's after school programs. She is a campus minister with InterVarsity at UMKC and Park University. As part of her role, she empowers students to lead Bible studies and to share the Gospel with their peers. She also trains and disciples for our student leaders. Currently, on both campuses, we have groups formed by multinational students, which means we have American students, international students and students from different cultural backgrounds.

Claire Nicholson McClun is wife to Adam, mom to Theo and Grace, an ordained pastor with the ECC, a coach and a content designer who lives in Kansas City, Mo.

Barbara has been an active member of the Urban Heights family since 1993.  In November 2003, Barb took a temporary position in the office and has been there ever since.   Barb is married to David West and they live in Clive.  They are parents of three adults sons.  When Barb is not working, she enjoys shopping, going for walks, scrapbooking, & other crafts.  But most of all she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
